Abstract

Abstract: This article underscores the growing significance of Science,
Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) education in the modern global
economy. While conventional methods of STEM education tend to focus on siloed
knowledge and skills within specific disciplines, thereby constraining students'
capacity to apply these principles across interdisciplinary settings, the integration of
arts into STEM fields through STEAM education presents a novel solution to this issue.
The article delves into the impact of STEAM education on cultivating STEM literacy
and interdisciplinary proficiencies, drawing upon research findings to offer insights for
educators and policymakers.
