Abstract

This article critically analyzes the idea of heroism in Ernest Hemingway's books,
focusing on the way his protagonists overcome obstacles and face downfalls with
bravery and resiliency. Highlighting pivotal pieces like "The Old Man and the Sea"
and "For Whom the Bell Tolls," it explores the subtleties of Hemingway's heroism and
clarifies the lasting significance of his writings on bravery, selflessness, and human
perseverance.
